1986 ALFA ROMEO SPIDER QUADRIFOGLIO VERDE Series 3: Years 1982 thru 1989 Purchased in 2019 and transported from Seattle, Washington, this Pininfarina designed 1986 Spider was built in November of 1985 as a Quadrifoglio trim level with aero side skirts, front air dam, and rear valance. The engine is an aluminum 2.0 liter twin cam 4-cylinder using BOSCH L-Jetronic fuel injection. This on top of 4 wheel disk brakes, a 5-speed manual transmission and limited slip differential. The exterior is factory Rosso Alfa over the Grey leather trim, red stitching, red carpets, black canvas soft top, color matched removable hard top, and 15-inch phone dial alloy wheels. The vehicle’s standard options include; reclining sport bucket seats, air conditioning, power windows, rear fog lamps, lighted passenger vanity mirror, branded AM/FM radio cassette with 4 speakers, antenna integrated into windshield, digital clock, leather wrapped steering wheel, intermittent wipers, glovebox accessory map light, power mirrors, and full red carpeting in the trunk area. |
AWARD PEDIGREE & MEDIA ATTENTION VIDEO GAME MODELING: The vehicle is globally famous in its “digital avatar form” as this physical vehicle was computer generated with digital sensors, scanned, and appears in Microsoft’s “FORZA HORIZON” X-Box One video game. “It is interesting to have a wide age range advise me at car shows that they too ‘own’ and ‘drive’ my car…albeit in digital form via the video game!” comes from Bamberg. IN THE PRESS: The Spider was the feature & cover shot in the October 2020 issue of “ALFA OWNER” the official international magazine of the Alfa Romeo Owner’s Club. The article was an “Alfa Roads” piece documenting a July 4th road trip along the SW Florida Coast from Naples to Boca Grande overnight, and back down the coast for a Captiva Island overnight. PRESTIGIOUS HONOR: One of the highest honors in the collectible car world is an invite to participate in one of the many related events in and around the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance. In 2021 the Spider was invited to display on "Fairway 1" for the Saturday, May 22 "Cars & Coffee" Event at the 26th Annual Concours. 1997 BMW Z3 Roadster E36 3 Series Platform: Years 1995 thru 2002 Purchased in 2015 and driven from Port St Lucie, Florida, this Goeshel designed 1997 Roadster was built in June of 1996 as the first release in the series. The engine is 1.8 liter M43B18 in line 4-cylinder power plant at 114 HP. This with 4 wheel disk brakes, a 5-speed manual transmission and limited slip differential. The exterior is factory Atlanta Blue over the Beige leather trim, matched stitching, matched carpets, beige canvas soft top, and 15-inch alloy wheels. The vehicle was sold in 2017. |
AWARD PEDIGREE & MEDIA ATTENTION "007" MODELING & MARKETING: The Z3 appeared briefly in the James Bond movie GoldenEye, in a scene where Bond is driving in Cuba. The Z3 is one of few non-British production cars to be driven by James Bond in a movie, and the first of three James Bond films featuring a BMW car. The Z3 in GoldenEye features stinger missiles hidden behind the headlights, an emergency parachute braking system and a radar scanner in the form of a LCD screen in the dashboard. It is also noted during the briefing scene, that the car contains a passenger ejector seat and a self-destruct system. Sales of the Z3 spiked as the film sat at number one at the box office. In the 1996 production run, more than 15,000 roadsters were sold out by the time the car was introduced. IN THE PRESS: This Z3 was featured in Naples Daily News Auto Section; "UR RIDE" in July of 2016. Craig played the "007" modeling at local car shows with fabricating all of the "MI6 Gadgets" listed above and used in the feature film GoldenEye.
